Job Description: LOCATION: Bradford

JOB TITLE: Mechanical Technician

SALARY & BENEFITS: £ 22.552 - £ 28, 000 depending on experience + pension + quarterly performance related bonus + 25 days annual leave

WORKING HOURS: FT - Monday to Friday. 'Stand By' route basis and includes the occasional weekend

THE ROLE: Mechanical Technician

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to work for one of the top 10 Water Providers in the UK.

As a Mechanical Technician you will be Responsible for the maintenance of the client's Electrical, Mechanical and ICA assets across water and waste water treatment and pumping installations.

Key Responsibilities to include: -

The ability to manage your own workload and prioritise and to build and Maintain operational relationships with customers, colleagues & Suppliers and sub-contractors.

Adhering to Health and Safety policy and standards Actively Identifying hazards, providing mitigation and hazard reporting onto the company database to Ensure the cause of the hazard is removed.

Supervision of approved sub-contractors. Providing Risk assessments and Method statements where permit to work is required for a Given Task.

The use of a Tough book to capture all work activity and job status in line with work flow processes.

Assisting in the development and training of apprentices and other less experienced members of the team.

Identification of ways to Improve value and service delivered by the Maintenance Function.

Installing & commissioning new plant and equipment to relevant standards.

Diagnosing and repairing faults on systems and plant.

Pro-active identification and reporting of follow on work or areas for enhancement.

Working in Accordance with Yorkshire Water Task Lists, Safe Working Practices.

Conducting own risk assessments and create Appropriate Method Statements When required to safely Carry Out maintenance activities.

The ability to specify parts and equipment required for the procurement part of day to day role.

The ability to work unsupervised in remote geographic locations.

You will work the part of the team to deliver excellent performance by understanding how your individual performance Achieving links into the wider team's objectives.

The ability to Manda financial awareness When making day to day Business Decisions.

Being accountable for the completion of Planned & Reactive Mechanical tasks Within timescale, quality and cost parameters.

The part of this role, you will be required to Participate in a standby route.
